MUSEUM WEESP

Museum Weesp takes you on a journey through the stories of the city and its inhabitants, from the earliest Iron Age settlement to the present day. Admire the first porcelain in the Netherlands, learn how chocolate is made and discover why the Weesper jenever was a favorite with the VOC. In addition to permanent exhibitions, Museum Weesp also regularly presents temporary exhibitions.

There are countless cycling routes that take you through the picturesque streets in the historic center and along sights such as windmill De Vriendschap and the Sint-Laurentiuskerk. MUIDERSLOT

Muiderslot is one of the oldest castles in The Netherlands. Built for defense purposes, it has been overlooking the waters of the IJmeer for over 700 years. After falling into decay, it became a national museum since 1878 after being renovated by the well-known architect Pierre Cuypers. Enjoy the castle gardens and visit the castle itself.
